Brief Description
We are recruiting an Asset Management Analyst to join the Southern Region¿s DEAM function.
Based at London Blackfriars, this role plays a key part in providing high¿quality data analysis to support asset management colleagues across the region. You¿ll help inform evidence¿based decision making by coordinating data collation, managing data sources, and supporting regular, accurate reporting.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to improving asset performance, reliability and safety across the railway.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports to drive improvement in the BI service provided
- Develop automation processes in Power Automate
- Maintenance of current Power Apps (low-code solution), as an admin for access requests and delivery of new KPIs.
- Deliver our regional `Asset Data Analysis¿ Strategy documentation, outlining our goals for each financial year within the control period (Financial Period FP1 ¿ formally CP8).
- Proactive using advanced analytical methods to unlock the data value to inform business decision making
- Interface with Asset Management & Maintenance teams, and senior route clients to ensure effective collaboration for data driven performance improvement
- Work with other analytical functions and business units to develop analytical capability
- Support the development and analysis of key leading & lagging performance indicators and equipment reliability analysis of assets to support the achievement if Network Rail¿s goals
- Undertake investigations and analysis to support identification and justification of recommendations for asset reliability, installation and maintenance improvements throughout the asset lifecycle processes
Act as Delivery Manager for specific projects or portfolios when directed
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Good analytical skills, including the use of statistical techniques, associated computer systems and effective presentation of results
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- Experience of working with asset systems and processes
- Understanding of railway assets behaviour, including performance issues, degradation, reliability and failure modes
- Understanding of asset management principles
Strong attention to detail with a systematic approach to work
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- Microsoft Power Apps (development and maintenance of applications)
- Microsoft Power Automate development
- Experience in using scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- SQL Coding (Ms SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL Developer)
- FME (Data Manipulation / Geospatial Analysis)
- Understanding of asset management principles
- Experience of working with asset systems and processes (e.g. Ellipse, INM, etc)

Salary: Band 4C(£43,588-£51,719) plus Inner London Allowance £3,270
